The development of any great Company begins with a small step. Even for ARBURG was so.
In the early 50’s the small company, founded in 1923, is far from the mass production of injection moulding machines for plastics.

In the past ARBURG produced successfully flash devices for the photographic industry, achieving considerable success worldwide. However, arose a problem that needed to be resolved quickly: the flash did not work properly. The cause: the superficial leakage of current. The solution: connection pins coated with plastic material.
Unfortunately, there was no machine able to produce them. This circumstance did not discourage the Hehl family: Karl Hehl built and produced the press in complete autonomy.

A small step: a first idea carried trustingly on to become a Company known worldwide, present today in the plastics industry with more and more innovative projects. The C4 model was born in 1959 and was the first injection-moulding machine totally hydraulic-driven.

The application shown at Samuplast 2016 reproduces the typical operator’s working cycle on the machine, and gives a nod to the contemporary age, by delegating this interaction to anthropomorphic robots.
